New Technology Center

This case highlights HPROJ’s role in delivering complementary engineering design for the New Technology Center of Mahle Metal Leve S.A. in Jundiaí, São Paulo, Brazil. The scope covered infrastructure and building/industrial systems for a facility with demanding technical requirements, ensuring coordinated documentation and implementation-ready solutions.

Overview

  • Location: Jundiaí, SP, Brazil
  • Reference date (as shown in the project material): 2005
  • Design year: 2008
  • Construction area (as shown in the project material): 125,000 m²
  • Site area: 15,740 m²

Project context

The building is organized around stepped semicircular rings that integrate with the landscape while preserving the site’s original topography. Located within an Atlantic Forest reserve area, the architecture favors natural daylight and visibility across five functional levels. A central stair cuts through the building core, with clear heights ranging approximately from six to twenty meters.

Large roof water mirrors help maintain relative humidity and reduce thermal loads, also serving as water storage for firefighting. The structural system uses precast concrete, and floors are protected by white metal shading structures.
